High Performance Rope of America Introduces New Stranding Machines

HPRA (High Performance Rope of America) has just purchased a new industrial Wire Rope Stranding Machines so as to boost their capacity and diversify their products. The equipment consists of machinery that produce steel wire strands for the 36 and 19,26 series. This brand new equipment can run at a record speed of 1,200 rpm which ensures they are the quickest machines in the industry. By using this new equipment, High Performance Rope will increase their capacity to reach 1,400 metric tons each and every month moving forward.
The machinery consist of lengthy tubes and heavy steel parts that were severed in parts to be able to fit in forty-foot containers. 4 forty-foot containers were needed for each machine.
Moving and unloading heavy machinery needs to be done with extreme caution. A professional team was hired to organize the strategy of the installation.
Unloading, placing the equipment by parts, organizing and verifying every single piece is just a fraction of what needs to be accomplished by skilled professionals during this kind of job.
Once everything has been unloaded, the most difficult activity takes place, which is arranging the equipment according to a blueprint inside the mill. Strong concrete foundations are needed to support the vibration these machines cause while operating at high speed.
The Different Grades of Chains

Industrial chains come in several shapes and sizes. It is for this reason that chains are labeled as being of different grades and types. The strength of a chain increases as its grade increases. No matter whether the chains are welded or unwelded; made of iron or stainless steel, the uses of industrial chains are as diverse as how they are made and what they are made of.
One of the top performing grades of chain is the Grade 100 Chain. The lowest grade of chain is “Grade 30”This is known as proof coil chain.
50% stronger than Grade 30 chain, Grade 40/43 is the next grade above 30 and it is also known as high test chain. Towing, tying down loads and binding loads are just some of the uses for Grade 40/43 chain.
All link in Grade 70 chain is heat-treated which makes it perfect for transport uses and binding loads. Grade 70 chain is 60% stronger than Grade 30 chain.
Typically, Grade 80 chain is used for lifting. This chain should be made in accordance with the National Association of Chain Manufacturers (NACM) standards. The National Association of Chain Manufacturers grade designation should always best amped on Grade 80 chain.
Grade 100 chain is 25% stronger than Grade 80 chain. It should also always be stamped with the NACM Grade designation. Continue visiting the official ESI website for more information on NACM Grade chains, wire rope and much more.
Government & Military Grade Wire Rope
Whether it’s for military applications or high performance aircraft cables, federal spec standard wire or wire rope is utilized in several departments within the US government. The military depends on the dependability of wire ropes each and every day.
Federal and Government standards for wire ropes are different depending on what it’s used for.
MIL-DTL-83420 – Flexible wire rope ideal for aircraft control.
MIL-P-24216 – Polypropylene cores with substrands of wire rope.
MIL-PRF-16173 – Anti-Corrosion compound.
It’s extremely important to note that Federal Specifications on Wire Rope and Wire Strands does not include all types and classes of wire rope and strands that are made available to the public. Federal specifications are only intended to regulate the most common classes of rope and strands; especially those that are intended for government use such as those previously listed.
For government use approval, wire ropes must pass certain requirements related to the materials they are created from which contributes to its strength, flexibility and much more. Wire rope that is approved for government use can be composed of annealed steel and more as specified in the government requirements and guidelines.
Along with other products, E.S.I. now carries a new line of domestic wire rope produced by High Performance Ropes of America (HPRA). In orderto celebrate the introduction of their new wire ropes, HPRA recently teamed up with ESI to giveaway Apple products to prospective clients at the 2011 AWRF General Meeting and P.I.E.
